Virtual Winter Tasting of Quintodecimo

Quintodecimo is an ultra-premium winery specializing in limited production Aglianico, Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo, and Falanghina. The winery is located in Irpinia in the region of Campania and is owned by wine legend and Professor Luigi Moio and his wife Laura. One of Italy’s most celebrated winemakers, Luigi crafts Quintodecimo wines from carefully chosen vineyards in Irpinia, Avellino, and Tufo. During this tasting, we will take a virtual journey to this region of rugged coasts, fiery volcanos, and spectacular food & wine. Aglianico makes full-bodied red wines and is found almost exclusively in Southern Italy in the regions of Campania and Basilicata. Rustic and earth-driven when young, Aglianico shows savory flavors of leather and black fruits. When aged, they tend to develop softer aromas of dried figs and leather.
